The housing provides external access to the probe and extension cable, allowing probe gap adjustment and probe replacement without disassembling the machine.

The 31000 Series housing assemblies are constructed from glass-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) with corrosion-resistant stainless-steel components and are designed for externally mounted proximity probe installations following API 670 recommendations.
